VIPAR hosting young leaders forum

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (Oct. 11, 2016) — VIPAR Heavy Duty Inc. will hold its Young Leaders Forum and Lunch during the company's upcoming 2016 Annual Business Conference.

The event, now in its fourth year, will be held Oct. 16-21 at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, Fla. The Young Leaders Forum, which the company said “helps bring together young industry leaders,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18, and is a special event open to VIPAR Heavy Duty stockholders and suppliers.

In addition to networking and collaboration among industry peers, VIPAR said the goal of the forum “is to provide the next generation of leaders with content to further personal development, and gain leadership and success strategies to apply to their businesses.”

Headlining the event will be John Egan, an instructor for the American Management Association and a co-founder and principal at Workforce Innovations, a Maryland-based management/organization development consulting firm. He will give a keynote presentation on “Achieving Leadership Success Through People,” focusing on the P.E.O.P.L.E. skills — Professionalism, Empathy, Optimism, Partnering, Loyalty, and Empowering — to achieve maximum results.

In addition to the luncheon, a young leaders reception will be hosted with GenNext during the VIPAR conference. New to this year's reception is a GenNext speed mentoring session to give young leaders the opportunity to ask questions of industry veterans to gain insight and advice on how to be successful in the independent heavy duty aftermarket.
