HOUSTON (Sept. 27, 2016) — Light truck tire remolder TreadWright Tires L.L.C. is partnering with the Expeditionary Veterans Association (EVA) to provide tires for recreational and therapeutic outdoor excursions for military veterans.
TreadWright will provide tires to help transport veterans to outdoor activities hosted by the EVA in an effort to provide therapeutic recreation and outreach as part of their Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) therapy and transition into civilian life.
TreadWright remolds light truck and SUV tires using a bead-to-bead mold-cure process at a plant in Houston.
The EVA operates in San Diego and the surrounding areas, organizing recreational outdoor excursions, providing transportation and equipment several times per week for all events.
The EVA is funded solely on donations and by partnerships with companies like TreadWright that provide the equipment to further the EVA's mission, the organization said.
“PTSD is a growing epidemic with our service members that has devastating effects,” said EVA founder Spc. Jacob Cruz-Ratliff.
“EVA represents a hope for a better life and the promise that our military personnel, past and present, will never be without assistance. We provide our services with help from partners like TreadWright because we as American people can show that we can never forget those that gave their all for the freedoms we now enjoy.”
