AIKEN, S.C. (Sept. 26, 2016) — Bridgestone Americas Inc. has named new plant managers for its passenger/light truck and radial OTR tire plants in Aiken.
Tim Painter will lead the firm's passenger/light truck tire facility, succeeding Fran Jones, who was named manager of Bridgestone Americas Manufacturing Group's talent development and education, relocating to Nashville, Tenn.
Adam Barfoot will lead the OTR tire plant, replacing Ron Brooks, who retired in December 2015.
Mr. Painter has spent 28 years with Bridgestone Americas, beginning his career at the LaVergne, Tenn., truck tire plant in 1989. Since then he's progressed through leadership positions, most recently serving as operations manager at the plant.
Mr. Barfoot brings more than 10 years of experience at Bridgestone, holding leadership positions at several of the firm's manufacturing sites. He most recently was operations manager for the Aiken OTR tire plant.
Nashville-based Bridgestone Americas is the North American operating arm of Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corp.
