FINDLAY, Ohio (Sept. 22, 2016) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is adding the role of managing director, Europe tire operations, to Luis Ceneviz's duties as director of Latin America tire operations, effective Oct. 1.
Mr. Ceneviz take over the European duties once Jeff Schumaker, who has been in that role since since January 2013, assumes the new position of vice president, global manufacturing, Cooper said.
Mr. Ceneviz has been overseeing Latin America operations since March 2015.
Prior to joining Cooper, Mr. Ceneviz was with Apollo Tyres Ltd., serving Apollo-Vredestein as president of the Europe, Sub Sahara, Africa and Americas region and as chairman and CEO of Apollo Tyres South America Ltd.
Before his time with Apollo, he spent nearly three decades with Goodyear, including a number of global leadership positions.
Cooper's Europe operations include tire factories in Melksham, England, and Krujsevac, Serbia, along with seven distribution centers and seven business/technical offices.
The European business unit is part of Cooper's International Segment, which reported sales of $452 million in 2015.
The Latin America unit covers Mexico, Central and South America, including Cooper's joint venture manufacturing unit Corporacion de Occidente S.A. de C.V. and the company's newly signed cooperation agreement with Argentina's Fate S.a.i.c.
