RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif (Sept. 20, 2016) — Czech auto maker Skoda Auto A.S., a member of the Volkswagen Group, has selected Sumitomo Rubber Industries Inc.'s Falken-brand Ziex ZE914A tire as original equipment on its newly redesigned Superb model.
According to Falken, the tires were selected for drivability and environmental performance. The Ziex ZE914A are designed for riding comfort and grip in both wet and dry conditions, while reducing rolling resistance and improving fuel efficiency.
Skoda claims to be one of the Europe's leading car manufacturers, with models available in more than 100 countries worldwide. Founded as Laurin & Klement in 1895 by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, the company changed its name to Skoda in 1925. It became part of Volkswagen in 1991.
