MERRIMACK, N.H. (Sept. 20, 2016) — ASA Automotive Systems Inc. has expanded its partnership with Carfax Inc. by adding a suite of tools to its TireMaster and TireMaster Enterprise software to help dealers increase customer loyalty and average ticket size.
ASA customers that are myCarfax Service Shops now have access to IHS Inc.'s Carfax Service History Check and Carfax QuickVIN within TireMaster or TireMaster Enterprise software, according to the company.
“At ASA, we are focused on empowering tire dealers and automotive service providers to advance their point-of-sale opportunities,” said Ken Halle, president of ASA Automotive Systems.
“Together with Carfax, we are making it possible for dealers to optimize sales at every customer visit. These integrated features help make service recommendations better, increase shop loyalty and boost average ticket value, significantly extending the power of the TireMaster family of products.”
Carfax Service History Check offers shops VIN-specific maintenance details with access to more than 4 billion Carfax service records. The data helps technicians identify unperformed maintenance by listing service information reported to Carfax for a specific vehicle, plus highlighting the last reported service date for many preventative maintenance services.
Carfax QuickVIN allows service writers to retrieve the year/make/model and vehicle identification number (VIN) of their customer's cars by entering the license plate number. This allows shops to reduce cycle time and parts-ordering errors, make better maintenance recommendations, find opportunities to increase the average repair order price and build trust with customers, the company said.
“The no-cost benefits of the myCarfax Service Shop program follow the growing desire for shops to streamline operations, enhance customer service and maximize profitability,” said Vern Poyner, general manager at Carfax.
Shops that sign up their customers with the myCarfax.com desktop or mobile app service are automatically saved as their customers' favorite shop. The myCarfax.com service sends reminders when oil changes, tire rotations and other maintenance items are due. Being saved as a customer's favorite shop helps keep them coming back for their next service visit, increasing customer loyalty, the company said.
