Cragar/Detroit Muscle Camaro contest opens

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (Sept. 2, 2016) — Carlstar Group L.L.C. is launching a new line of Cragar wheel styles with a bang — by giving away a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS customized by the build team at “Detroit Muscle,” a car customizing TV show.

Consumers can register to win the Camaro — equipped with Cragar's 620BMBC wheels with Firestone Firehawk tires and ramped up to 578 hp with an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger — by registering on Cragar's recently revised website.

Entries are being accepted until Dec. 2. Interested parties can enter once per week per email address.

“Joining forces with the team from Detroit Muscle was a great way for us to pay tribute to our loyal fans and help celebrate two iconic brands that enthusiasts know and love,” said Laren Harmon, executive vice president of sales for Carlstar, who noted it's a “great way” for Carlstar to reinforce the launch of the Modern Muscle line of wheels.

Detroit Muscle is produced by RTM Productions L.L.C., a television marketing and media company specializing in automotive tech content. The company is a unit of Raycom Media Inc.

The TV show focuses on restoring and modifying 1960s and '70s-era muscle cars and Detroit's more recent vintage muscle machines.

The Camaro also features Chevrolet Performance brakes and suspension kit, Hooker Blackheart headers and exhaust, 6LE Designs splitter package and BASF paint with custom graphics, Carlstar said.

The three Cragar Modern Muscle styles are the 614C, 615BMBC and 620BMBC/MB — available in sizes ranging from 18x8 to 22x9 and in four different finishes. They are designed for 2005-16 model cars.

Mr. Harmon also pointed out that Cragar's new site has a vehicle visualizer that allows visitors to see how Cragar's wheels will look on their car. Other features include a where-to-buy page for quick access to online and local retailers and easy-to-navigate product specifications and details.
