DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Aug. 18, 2016) — The Specialty Market Equipment Association has unveiled new and improved tools for suppliers on its SEMA Data Co-Op (SDC), its data management repository for the automotive aftermarket.
The new tools simplify the data-loading process while supporting the SDC's top-rated score-carding process, SEMA said. They allow users to submit data in all the popular formats, convert and validate data to industry standards, and store data in a PIES- and ACES-compliant repository with little or no manual intervention, it said.
The SDC is an industry-owned and -operated project designed to bring full product data management capabilities to participating suppliers at the lowest possible cost, according to SEMA.
The features of the SDC include a secure, centralized data repository based on industry standards; expert live training and technical assistance; and unlimited standard or fully customized data imports, SEMA said.
