HOUSTON (July 29, 2016) — Light truck tire retreading specialist TreadWright Tires L.L.C. is offering a 24-month optional road-hazard warranty coverage against unforeseen road conditions that can lead to premature tire failure.
Customers who opt to purchase the road hazard warranty certificate will be covered for 24 months from the date of purchase or until 2/32nd-inch or less of tread remains, whichever occurs first, the company said.
If the tire can be repaired, TreadWright will reimburse the customer up to $25 per repair done by any licensed tire service provider. If replacement is necessary during the first 12 months of coverage, the tire will be replaced or reimbursement equal to the original purchase price will be issued if a make and model is not available.
During the final 12 months of coverage, customers will be reimbursed for the remaining tread depth on the tire to 2/32nd inch.
“TreadWright tires are greener, more American, more rugged than any other tires in its class,” said TreadWright CEO Anthony Showen. “With this new optional warranty, our customers are not only covered on the manufacturing end with our workmanship warranty, they'll also be covered for anything else the road can throw at them.”
The cost of the coverage varies according to tire size, TreadWright SAID, ranging from $7.99 to $12.49 per tire. Specifically, the charges are:
- $7.99 per tire for 215, 225 and 235 tread widths;
- $9.99 per tire for 245, 265 and 275 tread widths and 31-inch outside diameters; and
- $12.49 per tire for 285 and 315 widths and 33- and 35-inch outside diameter.
