MAM adds tire audit system to VAST software

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (July 20, 2016) — MAM Software Inc. has enhanced its VAST point-of-sale and business management software program with the integration of Squarerigger Inc.'s Opti-Tread Tire Audit System.

Opti-Tread, according to MAM, is credited by its users with significant increases in both tire and alignment revenue and customer satisfaction at both retail tire dealers and auto dealerships. With the integration, Opti-Tread passes its inspection results directly to the VAST system at a dealership.

The lightweight portable system allows vehicle tire inspections to be performed in drive-up service lanes, service bays, parking lots and other places where a car may be located, MAM said. In addition to indicating abnormal wear patterns caused by underbody, alignment or inflation issues, Opti-Tread is designed to point out tires with nails, introducing a potential revenue stream for dealers.

According to MAM, the “robust system” offers an alternative to systems costing ten times more.
