COLCHESTER, Vt. (July 11, 2016) — Nokian Tyres North America has hired Glen Hutson as territory manager covering Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

Prior to joining Nokian, he held various sales and management positions with Trelleborg Agricultural Tires and American Tire Distributors Holdings Inc., as well as owning and operating Hutson Automotive Equipment.

Nokian Tyres North America President Tommi Heinonen said Mr. Hutson's “track record of success working for a tire manufacturer and a tire distributor will help him expand Nokian Tyres' sales network for commercial tires in his territory.”

Nokian said Mr. Hutson's appointment is an example of the company's “focus on its commercial customers, ensuring the full line of commercial products is available throughout North America.”

Mr. Heinonen added that Nokian “is investing to grow our market share in the Great Plains region because we have excellent products that can uniquely meet the needs of 21st century equipment applications.

“From forestry to agriculture tires, durable commercial grade tires that perform in demanding conditions are an important piece of Nokian Tyres' business.”

Finnish parent company Nokian Tyres P.L.C. — which includes Nokian Tyres Canada Inc. — also operates the Vianor tire chain, which has 1,475 outlets in 26 countries, including 76 in the U.S., of which 11 are Nokian-controlled outlets.

In 2015 Nokian Tyres rang up net sales of nearly $1.5 billion; North American sales were roughly $176 million.
