SEOUL, South Korea (July 5, 2016) — For the seventh consecutive year, Nexen Tire Corp. sits atop the tire category list for South Korea's 2016 “Global Customer Satisfaction Competency Index” (GCSI).
The GCSI is an evaluation system developed by the Global Management Association (GLOMA) under South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. According to Seoul-based Nexen, the evaluation system was developed “to raise awareness of customer satisfaction management and to a support higher level of customer satisfaction management by providing a global industrial competitiveness index.”
This year's survey was conducted by studying the opinions of approximately 101,000 Korean residents on 183 different products and services across nine different industrial sectors — including the products of globally recognized Korean companies that engage in active marketing activities.
Nexen said it obtained the highest scores among its competitors in the categories of customer satisfaction elements, customer values and global competency, topping the list in the tire category of customer satisfaction.
The tire maker called it “an honor to be recognized for the efforts the company has made in trying to provide the highest quality products possible through strict quality assurance and to respond to customer's needs by one-step-ahead product development.”
In addition to being honored by the GCSI, Nexen said it recently was ranked fourth out of 12 tire brands in the passenger car segment of the 2016 J.D. Power Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study.
GCSI's certification ceremony was held in Beijing on June 23, with the winners of each category in attendance.
