Froesel Tire converts to Marangoni

ST. LOUIS (June 28, 2016) — Froesel Tire, a single-outlet retail and commercial dealership in western St. Louis, has converted its retreading plant to Marangoni Tread North America's Ringtread spliceless system.

Froesel Tire's retread plant, located at its Manchester Road location in St. Louis's Brentwood neighborhood, is rated at 33,000 units a year, Marangoni said. The dealership previously was affiliated with Michelin North America Inc.'s Oliver Rubber Co. retreading business.

Froesel Tire Majority Owner Daniel Mitchell lauded Marangoni, saying, “The level of service and support we received from Marangoni during our transition not only exceeded our expectations, it also surpassed what we have ever received from any supplier.”

He also noted that Ringtread is a “premium quality, double-contoured, spliceless, American-made precured tread that will provide our customers with the best retread experience.”

Froesel Tire is Marangoni's only licensed retreader in Missouri and one of 27 Marangoni plants in the U.S.

In addition to retreading, Froesel offers commercial customers aluminum wheel polishing, powder coating, six service trucks offering 24-hour emergency road service and national account billing.

According to the dealership's website, Froesel Tire handles Bridgestone, Continental, Cooper, Double Coin, Falken, Firestone, Fuzion, General, Primewell and Toyo brand tires. The dealership offers passenger, light truck, truck/bus, OTR, lawn and garden, agricultural, industrial and specialty tires in addition to retreads.

Froesel Tire was established in 1937 by Daniel Froesel. In 1964, his eldest son Ron took over as owner and president; his brother Gerard joined the business in 1969 after serving in the Army in Vietnam.

In 2007, Daniel Mitchell, a 39-year employee and nephew of Daniel Froesel, acquired the company. Mr. Mitchell's son Daniel is also a minority owner and represents the fourth generation in the Froesel Tire organization.
