WASHINGTON (June 24, 2016) — The U.S. Senate has passed a resolution naming July 8 as the seventh annual “Collector Car Appreciation Day.”
As in the past, the resolution was requested by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and its Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) and Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) councils, SEMA said in a press release.
“The date marks the seventh commemoration in what has become an annual event to celebrate and raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society,” SEMA said.
The SEMA Action Network is maintaining a list of scheduled Collector Car Appreciation Day events on its website and encouraging all automotive enthusiasts to take part.
