SEWELL, N.J. (June 16, 2016) — Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Inc. (AAPA) has named Sewell-based Miles Auto Service the first of two winners of its $50,000 Garage Overhaul Sweepstakes.

Fred White, owner of the five-bay outlet, said in a press release that winning the sweepstakes will allow him to elevate his business to the next level.

“Simply put, this opportunity will allow us to further improve the customer experience,” he said. “My goal is to create a loyal client rather than a transactional customer.”

The rules of the sweepstakes allocate money for exterior and interior cosmetic improvements, as well as a significant portion of funds for technology and equipment, AAPA said.

Miles Auto plans to use its winnings to replace the sign face on its stand-alone lighted sign; add an illuminated sign to the front of the building; remove an interior wall to create a larger customer service area and waiting room; replace the service counter and waiting area furniture; redo the shop floors; paint; and add a fifth vehicle lift, among other things.

The shop already is equipped with advanced technology tools, but Mr. White said he plans to capitalize on the planned improvements to the shop with better customer relationship management software. In addition, the company plans on utilizing the refurbished area for evening technical and team training programs.
