TBC expands truck tire sales team

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (June 10, 2016) — TBC Corp. has added two tire industry veterans to its commercial truck tire team.

The new hires are David Smothers and Dave Dugan, who will be field sales engineer and regional sale manager, respectively, in TBC's Midwest Region for TBC Brands L.L.C., the company's private brand distribution arm, according to Aaron Murphy, vice president of commercial truck tire sales.

“Both David Smothers and Dave Dugan bring significant industry experience in the truck tire segment to our growing sales team,” Mr. Murphy said.

“We look forward to their contributions and have the utmost confidence that their experience and knowledge of the industry will assist with the expansion of many of our product lines, including Sumitomo, Sailun and other TBR products, while providing best-in-class services to our customers.”

Mr. Smothers brings 19 years' industry experience to TBC, including serving in technical and engineering positions with Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. and as a field sales engineer with CMA/Double Coin Tire.

Mr. Dugan's career spans more than 29 years of sales and management experience for tire manufacturers and organizations, including Goodyear's Kelly-Springfield brand, Treadways and TBC Corp.
