COMMACK, N.Y. (June 10, 2016) — Autologic Diagnostics Inc. has launched its AssistMobile app, which complements the firm's Autologic Assist, a cloud-based auto diagnostics support program.

Autologic Assist provides a suite of capabilities that joins data resources and diagnostic tools together on one screen with real-time access to a team of master technicians simultaneously, the company said.

With the new AssistMobile app, Autologic Assist customers have another way to access the company's technical support team from any iOS or Android device, according to Autologic. Users can download the app via app stores relevant to their individual mobile devices.

AssistMobile allows users to enter fault codes and provides ways to assess repairs, along with one-touch access to contacting tech support.

A key feature of the app is its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) barcode-scan capability, which allows users to scan a VIN barcode with the integrated camera on their smartphone, the company said. Once captured, the app records the VIN automatically and takes users to the next prompt screen to enter additional vehicle details.

In addition, using the AssistMobile app for diagnosis and direct communication to Autologic tech support frees up the AssistPlus device in the repair shop so that it is available for use by another technician, the company said.

“We expect our new, intuitive AssistMobile app to improve the overall user experience for our customers. It was deliberately designed to streamline and expedite access to tech support and provide our customers another vehicle by which to communicate directly with our seasoned technicians,” said Jeremy Fry, CEO of Autologic.

“Autologic is known worldwide for our superior technical support capabilities, which spans more than 100 master OEM-trained technicians around the globe. We have built a reputation based on our advanced technical capabilities and the app further leverages this expertise.”

Additionally, Mr. Fry continued, “the ability to scan VIN barcodes is going to vastly accelerate the diagnosis and repair process for our customers, creating an opportunity to increase revenue and fix cars faster. We believe our customers stand to benefit from yet another way access our renowned expert tech team, allowing them to perform even better diagnostics and repairs, and get from fault to fix, fast with Autologic's integrated, cloud-connected Assist solution.”
