NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 9, 2016) — Bridgestone Americas' Speedco commercial outlets have launched battery services at locations nationwide.
Speedco — a provider of on-highway preventive maintenance and tire service for the commercial trucking industry — will offer Interstate Group 31 commercial truck batteries at its more than 50 locations across the U.S. According to Bridgestone, the batteries are designed to maximize mileage with little maintenance, while meeting or exceeding original equipment (OE) specifications. Their features include:
- Maintenance-free design;
- High cycling technology;
- Vibration protection against extreme heat and vibration;
- Suitcase handle for easy installation; and
- Single-port vent system for minimal water loss.
“Speedco is working to defeat downtime by providing owner-operators and fleets the essential products and solutions their trucks need matched with the best customer service possible,” said Chris Ripani, Speedco president.
“Batteries are an important part of that equation. Our free battery testing and the addition of battery replacement to our service offering will continue to make Speedco a convenient and trusted provider in the trucking industry.”
Bridgestone Americas has controlled the Speedco Inc. business since 2006, when it bought Bandag Inc., which had acquired majority ownership of Speedco in 2004.
