KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 26, 2016) — May 19 was a red-letter day at the Kansas City headquarters of custom and competition wheel maker Weld Racing L.L.C.
The company, which is planning to consolidate at its Kansas City headquarters the operations of the CCW Forged Performance wheel business it acquired in November 2014, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. It also was recognized by Kansas City Mayor Sylvester James and the Kansas City city council for its efforts to bring jobs to the area.
Besides local dignitaries, five of Weld's top contracted racers were on hand to liven up the festivities.
“Weld was humbled and honored to celebrate our growth with so many Kansas City area officials and with several of our brand ambassadors who represent our company to various racing communities throughout the U.S.,” said Norm Young, president and CEO of Weld.
