LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. (May 10, 2016) — Snap-on Inc. has increased the optional European vehicle coverage available for Software Upgrade 16.2 for diagnostics tools.
The new release includes coverage for Alfa Romeo and enhanced coverage back to model year 1997 for Audi, BMW, FIAT, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Smart Car, Volkswagen and Volvo.
“With Snap-on reliability, support and true OEM-specific coverage, the European coverage available in our software gives technicians the assurance that they can handle any job that pulls into their bay,” said Mark Schaefer, director of marketing, Snap-on Diagnostics.
Software Upgrade 16.2 provides access to 105,440 additional codes, tests, tips and data for vehicles as far back as 1997, as well as new 2015 domestic and Asian coverage for Acura, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Lincoln, Mitsubishi and Ram, the company said.
The Fast-Track Troubleshooter coverage extends back to model year 1980 with 17,490 new tips, Snap-on said. The upgrade also includes 27,650 Guided Component Tests.
A Snap-on software subscription with optional European coverage features real-time access to information and offers the option of weekly or monthly payments.
