Mickey Thompson adds sizes to Baja line

STOW, Ohio (April 27, 2016) — Max-Trac Tire Co.'s popular all-terrain Baja ATZP3 tire line has grown.

The Baja ATZP3 from the company, which does business as Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, has added two sizes — LT325/50R22 (35X13.00R22) and 37X13.50R22LT.

“These new fitments represent our first 22-inch diameter light truck radial tires,” said Ken Warner, vice president of marketing for Stow-based Mickey Thompson, a subsidiary of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.

“The 35- and 37-inch tires are very popular with our customers,” he continued, “and the new Baja ATZP3 fitments are the perfect choice for enthusiasts who want a tire that looks great, and provides excellent on and off-road performance.”

The company said the tire is specially designed with three-ply PowerPly sidewall construction, beefy tread blocks and an extra-wide footprint — an all-terrain tire that is “a great choice for off-road use, and performs well in mud and snow.”

The tire also features what Mickey Thompson described as “unique” stone ejector ribs that resist stones and cracking and a sidewall construction that “provides superior reliability and durability with added strength for puncture resistance.”
