LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 15, 2016) — Global automotive supplier DENSO Corp. is inviting fans to enter its DENSO 2 Win NHRA Sweepstakes to snag tickets to the action-packed final weekend of the 2016 NHRA Mello Yellow Drag Racing Series.

The exclusive package includes round-trip airfare for two from anywhere in the continental U.S., three-day, four-night hotel accommodations, and VIP access to the NHRA drivers for the Finals, which take place Nov. 10-13 at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Pomona, Calif.

DENSO announced the contest at the recent DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas. Fans have until Oct. 16 to enter online at the company's website.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win the sweepstakes. Official rules, terms and conditions are available by clicking here.

“The Nationals were a nonstop thrill!” said Fran Labun, vice president of sales for DENSO Products and Services Americas Inc. “We are proud to have served as the title sponsor, and we launched the sweepstakes to continue our support for the NHRA drag racing series, the fans and the teams to the very last millisecond.”

DENSO is also a supporting sponsor of the entire 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Series of 24 races nationwide at which the company has a product display on the midway that includes its premium Iridium TT, Iridium Power and Iridium Racing spark plugs.

DENSO also posts its own race and product updates on its Facebook page, and via Twitter, Instagram and YouTube throughout the series.

Top NHRA competitors using DENSO spark plugs, according to the firm, include drivers Jason Line and Greg Anderson, the Pro Stock leaders in the Mello Yello Series after the Las Vegas event.

The company, which has its headquarters in Kariya, Aichi prefecture, Japan, has for nearly half a century sponsored world-class motorsports, including NHRA, NASCAR, Formula One, World Rally Championship and Super GT races.

DENSO Products and Services Americas is an automotive components sales, remanufacturing and distribution unit of DENSO Corp. that employs 510 people in Long Beach and Murrieta, Calif. The company's product line includes heavy-duty and automotive alternators, starters, oil, cabin and air filters, spark plugs, AC compressors, oxygen sensors, ignition wires, fuel pumps, fuel injectors and wiper blades for the original equipment and aftermarket.
