GRIMSBY, Ontario (April 5, 2016) — Tire handling solutions maker Cimcorp Group has opened a U.S office, in Norcross, Ga., for its Cimcorp USA Inc. subsidiary.

The manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic gantry-based order fulfillment machinery said the office, incorporated in February, is located in a business and technology park and will open during the second quarter.

According to the company, the location will provide Cimcorp's sales and service team with a local home base in the Southeast market, “which has a large projected growth for intralogistics, warehouse automation and manufacturing.” Cimcorp also is looking to expand its sales and service activities to its customers in its target markets, including tire manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage and retail and e-commerce.

“Due to its central location within a rapidly growing intralogistics market, ease of airport access, proximity to our major customers and access to skilled labor, the Norcross area is an ideal location for Cimcorp,” said Rick Trigatti, North America president. “The new office will allow us to better service our U.S. customer base while providing us with expanded access to this growing market where we will be surrounded by customers, competitors, partners and suppliers.”

Grimsby-based Cimcorp www.cimcorp.com said its robotic and automated solutions help manufacturers and distribution centers “meet the challenge of managing multi-channel distribution within a complex and rapidly evolving multi-sales channel environment while optimizing material flow, increasing efficiencies and improving their bottom lines.”

Company executives and team members will be at the MODEX trade show, taking place April 4-7 in Atlanta, to discuss Cimcorp's end-to-end, multi-channel and customized solutions, at MODEX booth #4347.

Cimcorp Group, which has its global headquarters in Ulvila, Finland, is part of Murata Machinery Ltd., which has locations in Finland and Canada. Its logistics automation solutions are designed to reduce operating costs, ensure traceability and improve efficiency, according to the company, and are used within manufacturing and distribution centers in 40 countries across five continents.
