The award was created in 2005 to honor Mort Schwartz, an aftermarket entrepreneur, business owner and consultant — and member of the Automotive Hall of Fame — who is a strong advocate for industry education and scholarship programs, the ACA said.
Nominees for the Mort Schwartz Award should be outstanding in their efforts to promote, advance or innovate in auto care education and training programs, or in their efforts to raise scholarship funds, the association said.
The ACA Education Committee will select the winner, who will be honored during the 2016 ACA Fall Leadership Days Sept. 1 in Washington, it said.
April 22 is the deadline for nominations. To obtain a nomination form or learn more about the award, go to the ACA's website or contact Sue Kalish, ACA senior director-education, at [email protected] or 301-654-6664.
