Bosch adds swing arm air motor tire changer

WARREN, Mich. (March 22, 2016) — Robert Bosch L.L.C.'s Bosch Automotive Service Solutions unit has added the TCE 4275 swing arm air motor tire changer to its North American product line.

Designed for high-volume shops, the changers uses what Bosch said is the industry's most rigid frame for improved strength and durability. It features external and internal clamping of 28 and 30 inches, respectively, for larger wheel and tire combinations.

Other features include an air motor turntable for increased torque and versatility; patent-pending Ergo Control hand-actuated bead breaking system; and an available helper arm system that includes a bead depress device and a bead roller, each operating independently for precise control.

The product includes Bosch's three-year parts and labor warranty.

The 4275 also is available with an electric motor version, running on 110-volt power and providing the same features as competing machines requiring a 220-volt electrical supply, Bosch said.

The electric motor changer uses a standard two-speed turntable to allow the operator to maintain optimum torque while breaking and setting tough beads, the firm added. The enhanced control over the tire changing process helps avoid damage to wheel and tire combinations.
