BOWIE, Md. (March 21, 2016) — “Mobile Devices: Risks and Solutions” is the title of the March 29 webinar co-sponsored by the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and Federated Insurance, TIA's preferred provider of business and workers' compensation insurance.
Scheduled for 2 p.m. EDT, the webinar is free to all TIA members. It will be presented by Enquiron as part of the Federated Employment Practices Network, according to TIA. Robin Taylor Simons, co-managing partner of the Miami office of Gordon & Rees L.L.P., will lead the presentation.
The webinar will address the rising use of company and personal mobile devices by employees both in and out of the office. It will cover the security and privacy risks associated with this use, as well as claims that could arise from the improper use of mobile devices, TIA said in a press release.
Ms. Symons also will offer employers practical guidance on such issues as:
- Exposures employers face regarding employee use of mobile devices;
- Expectations employers have about personal information on mobile devices;
- The types of claims that arise from improper mobile device use; and
- Practical steps employers can take to minimize risks.
TIA said the webinar will be of particular interest to compliance officers, chief financial officers, human relations professional, general counsel, internal auditors and risk managers.
