MILLVILLE, N.J. (Feb. 19, 2016) — Service Tire Truck Centers Inc. (STTC) has opened a retread plant in Millville that uses Oliver Rubber materials and processes.

The move complements STTC's network of Michelin Retread Technology-based (MRT) plants.

STTC Chairman Walter Dealtrey said adding the Oliver product line positions his company “to provide the right tread for any type of customer or government entity. Intermodal companies realize the importance of having quality retreads to minimize their tire-related downtime. For us, Oliver will fill that need.”

The dealership operates three MRT plants within its Eastern Seaboard distribution footprint, including one in Millville.

“STTC has a long track record of helping commercial truck owner/operators minimize downtime and control costs while keeping their vehicles running at peak performance, an approach that aligns well with the Oliver brand,” said Scott Murray, vice president and director of sales, Oliver Rubber Co. L.L.C., a Michelin North America Inc. subsidiary.

Service Tire will use the Oliver capacity to focus on intermodal business, Oliver said.

STTC did not disclose the plant's capacity nor its investment in opening it.
