GUADALAJARA, Mexico — Brazilian retread materials producer Borrachas Vipal S/A has expanded its authorized dealer network in Mexico with the addition of Renovatec, a retreader in Guadalajara.
The company said it now has 17 member companies in the country.
In November, Vipal Rubber executives attended the launch reception in Guadalajara at the facilities belonging to its newest retreading partner, Renovatec, a retreader with more than 32 years of experience in the market. Renovatec's new plant has an installed capacity to retread 2,500 tires per month, according to Vipal, and is expected to generate 20 new jobs.
Jean Barros, Vipal's commercial coordinator for Mexico and Central America, called the Latin American market of utmost importance to the company, noting it had “selected Guadalajara as the focus of our expansion in the country because it is a key market for Vipal's business.”
The event at Renovatec included about 200 guests, including Vipal and Renovatec partners and team representatives from both companies. The retreader, which had worked with another brand for many years — Vipal did not specify that company — “celebrated the change,” it said.
“For Renovatec, Vipal was chosen because of the quality, technology and support it provides — which were all decisive factors in the choice.”
