BETHESDA, Md. (Feb. 11, 2016) — The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG) of the Auto Care Association is hosting the 2016 YANG Leadership Conference, May 6-7, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Fla.
The inaugural conference will be held in conjunction with the Auto Care Association's (ACA) Spring Leadership Days and is designed for young professionals under the age of 40 in the auto care industry.
The conference will offer seven hours of education to enhance leadership skills, sharpen global perspective of the auto care industry and develop relationships with peers, organizers said. Attendees are eligible to receive CEU credits toward their AAP/MAAP designation from the University of the Aftermarket.
Education sessions include:
- “Celebrations, Technology, Leadership and Fourth Meal, They Have More in Common Than You Realize,” presented by John Washbish, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance.
- “How Globalization is Impacting the Business” panel discussion.
- “Technology-Related Opportunities and Challenges for the Automotive Aftermarket,” presented by Donna Long, Dorman Products.
- “Telematics – The Connected Car.”
“YANG has developed this program as a stepping stone between your basic educational conference and the available more intense executive programs,” said Bill Hanvey, ACA president and CEO. “This is the perfect opportunity for your company's rising star who is seeking to move up in their career and this industry.”
Registration is $550 and includes all meals and an evening excursion on May 6. The deadline to register is April 1, and only YANG members can attend.
