GREENVILLE, S.C. (Feb. 9, 2016) — Michelin North America Inc. and Dickies Occupational Wear, a division of Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co., have partnered to create a line of anti-slip footwear for the service and hospitality industry.
The new line includes three high-traction shoe options — the Apex, the Charge and the Dash — which Dickies said are designed to deliver “outstanding stability, adherence and slip resistance with added comfort and durability.”
The shoes are inspired by the Michelin City Pro motorbike tire, which Dickies said is capable of gripping slippery road surfaces. Similarly, the new footwear is designed to combat the hazards of wet, greasy and oil-slicked surfaces.
