POWAY, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2016) — Mitchell Repair Information Co. L.L.C.'s Mitchell 1 brand has scheduled its first Shop Management Workshop of 2016 for May 12-14 at the Hotel Solamar in San Diego.
According to Mitchell 1, the two-day training session is designed for shop management software users who want to learn more advanced capabilities, shortcuts and new features to run their businesses more efficiently.
The session will focus on best practices and guide participants through all levels of functionality of Mitchell 1 Manager SE and ShopKey Service Writer/Shop Management SE, the firm said. Emphasis will be on features found in its new 7.0 version of the software, but previous versions also will be covered.
According to Mitchell 1, training topics include program setup, inventory, reporting, scheduling, advanced transactions and aftermarket cataloging.
A session led by Mitchell 1 product managers will focus on helping shops get the most value from their integrated repair information source, ProDemand. Session attendees also will learn about the Mitchell 1 SocialCRM shop marketing service during an evening reception.
Mitchell 1 said a practice lab equipped with computers and staffed by product specialists will be available throughout the event, allowing participants to practice and apply the skills they learn.
The workshop will be led by John Dwulet, senior product manager for Mitchell 1's management software solutions, and Tim McDonnell, national training manager, who together have more than 40 years of combined shop management system training experience.
Attendees will be welcomed with a cocktail reception taking place from 6 to 8 p.m. May 12. Workshop sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on May 13 and 14.
Registration costs $200 per attendee, plus applicable tax, and covers seminars, breakfast, lunch and refreshments each day, Mitchell 1 said. Participants are responsible for transportation to San Diego and hotel accommodations.
The company added that participants can earn 30 AMI credits toward the Accredited Automotive Manager designation by completing the workshop. At the end of each workshop, AMI course completion forms will be distributed to those who wish to pursue the credits.
