Fleet Tire joins Michelin network

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 4, 2016) — Fleet Tire Inc.  of Knoxville, a long-time Michelin dealer, is being added to the Michelin Commercial Service Network (MCSN).

Fleet Tire, a single-outlet dealership with five service trucks and six TIA-certified service specialists, is the first independent dealership in eastern Tennessee in the MCSN.

Others in the area are Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. locations in Dandridge and Lenoir City, Tenn., according to the dealer locator on the michelintruck.com site.

As part of the MCSN, Fleet Tire will offer a complete range of services, including repairs, routine service, diagnostics, inspection, alignments, Michelin OnCall 24/7/365 emergency road service and Michelin Tire Care preventive tire monitoring for fleets needing service and tires in the I-40, I-75, and I-81 highway areas.

Ralph Dimenna, chief operating officer for Michelin Americas Truck Tires Division, said adding ONCall and Tire Care to Fleet Tire's portfolio of services “will amplify the network's collective service level for fleets located in or traveling through the region.”

Fleet Tire President Jerry Linginfelter said the MCSN “gives fleets confidence that their needs will be met professionally with an emphasis on their bottom line.”

The dealership has been selling Michelin products for 28 years. In addition to new Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal consumer and commercial tire products, Fleet Tire offers Michelin retreads sourced through the Michelin Retread Technologies network of retreaders.

The addition of Fleet Tire expands the MCSN to approximately 600 locations across the U.S.
