HOUSTON—Alliance Tire Americas Inc. met its tonnage sales goals last year, company officials told sales and executive staff at the firm's recent annual sales meeting.

Although the firm did not disclose its fiscal 2015 sales volume or revenue, Alliance executives nonetheless claimed “business continues to be robust” and are expecting growth again in 2016.

Among products added to the firm's portfolio this past year were:

c Four sizes of the Alliance Agriflex 354 and 363 steel-belted VF (very high flexion) tires for self-propelled sprayers: 380/80R38, 320/105R46 and 480/95R50 in the Agriflex 354 VF line and 270/95R48 (11.2R48) in the Agriflex 363 VF.

Alliance claims it is the only company to offer steel-belted construction in all of its IF and VF tires, according to Trent Wallin, agriculture product manager.

In the forestry sector, Alliance said it plans to launch five tires in its Primex and Alliance brands in 2016:

c Primex LogStomper Xtreme, with a variable-angle and tapered-lug design for a wide range of ground conditions and constructed with heavy sidewalls, thick under-tread gauge, and a highly cut and chip-resistant compound.

c Alliance 342 Forest for skidders, harvesters or forestry tractors, featuring a “massive” tread pattern for traction and grip on steep slopes. The tread is reinforced with smaller lugs on the side and steel under the tread area for increased resistance to punctures and damage from stumps, stones and branches.

c Primex LogStomper Super Flo-tation HF-4, built for use on harvesters and cut-to-length machines that operate in difficult-to-access areas. With 23-degree tread bars, deep lugs and a huge footprint, the tire also is designed to minimize damage to fragile forest floors. It also offers steel undertread plies and aramid-reinforced sidewalls.

c Primex Log Monster, for log skidders working in harsh terrain, features a strong nylon casing reinforced by steel belts, a high under-tread gauge, robust lugs, and thick sidewalls.

c Alliance 356 Forest, for high-power tractors, is designed for use in the field and in the forest, with steel belts, a high under-tread gauge, thick sidewalls, a special compound, and a protective mud guard for durability and longevity.

On the construction side of the ledger, Alliance launched five Gal-axy-brand tires for specific applications.

c Beefy Baby III for skid steers, with increased tread depth, fine-tuned lug design and a wear-resistant rubber compound.

c Hulk for machines that are used on paved and hard surfaces, such as for rock, demolition, salvage, gravel and concrete work. The Hulk features a tread with a 68/32 solid-to-void ratio and a minimum tread depth of 44/32nd inch.

c Marathoner, an all-around performer designed with “mud breakers” that are specifically designed to clear mud and keep the tire's tread clean. It also offers beefed-up sidewalls, a rim guard and deep tread for extended life.

c Muddy Buddy, with a 55-percent deeper tread depth and reconfigured lugs for improved traction and stability.

c Multi-Purpose Construction (MPC) tire, a solid tire for graders, loaders, telehandlers, etc., that is designed with an optimal lug-to-void ratio for traction and center lug blocks for a smooth ride, while the tire's deep shoulders provide lateral stability and efficient self cleaning.

For the farm, Alliance is offering five new products:

c Alliance 380 VF, a VF-rated flotation tire designed specifically for heavy machinery and trailers, capabable of delivering high-speed performance on- and off-road with reduced reduce soil compaction.

c Alliance 393, a steel-belt-reinforced tire for use on or off the road with heavy transport vehicles, slurry tanks and grain wagons, with a directional-block tread that self-cleans in the field and offers low rolling resistance while on the road.

c Alliance FarmPRO 324 offers aggressive 45-degree self-cleaning lugs together with a wide nose bar and center tread overlap for long wear and comfort on the road and a tread compound that is resistant to cut propagation.

c Alliance Agriflex 372 IF/VF for high-horsepower tractors and combines, offering up to 40-percent lower inflation pressures with no load-carrying reduction.

c Alliance Multiuse 550 for use on municipal and chore tractors, skid steers, backhoes, mini-loaders and other popular machinery. Its special block-tread design and a wide footprint delivers traction in sand and snow.
