Brake marketer Power Stop hires COO

BEDFORD PARK, Ill. (Jan. 26, 2016) — Performance braking solutions provider Power Stop L.L.C. has hired Joe Stephan to be its chief operating officer, a newly created position.

Mr. Stephan brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role, most recently as vice president of business development at Federal-Mogul Corp.

“Joe comes to Power Stop with lots of industry knowledge and experiences that we believe will be beneficial to our ongoing success,” said Arvin Scott, CEO of Power Stop. “Over the years, he has gained respect from his team members and customers in the many roles that he has served in.

Previously, he held various positions of increasing responsibility at Federal-Mogul, including director, global chassis products; director, key account sales; and global director, product management. Prior to joining that company, in 1999 Mr. Stephan held sales and marketing positions with Tenneco Automotive Inc. for its Monroe and Walker brands.

Bedford Park-based Power Stop, which has offered performance braking systems since 1995, introduced its 1 Click Brake Kit in November 2010 and claims to have “pioneered the performance brake upgrade category by providing exceptional quality brake parts at an affordable price.”
