LA MIRADA, Calif. (Jan. 19, 2016) — ATV Inc./American Tire Depot (ATD) has acquired Wayne's Tire & Auto Repair, a 50-year-old independent dealership with five outlets along California's Central Coast between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The deal expands American Tire Depot's network to 87 retail stores, and La Mirada-based ATV said it has plans for additional expansion this year.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to the Better Business Bureau, Wayne Little is listed as the owner of Wayne's Tire & Auto.

Avo Kamberian, vice president of marketing for ATV, said the company is “thrilled about the opportunity to build and expand American Tire Depot's operations in the cities of Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Santa Maria and Lompoc.”

These locations are north of ATD's existing footprint, although both dealerships have a location in Santa Maria.

The acquired locations will “maintain the product quality and strong customer service culture of Wayne's Tire, running under the established American Tire Depot brand,” ATV said.

The merger, according to ATV, is expected to create additional jobs in both the retail and commercial sectors.

The dealership added five stores in early 2015 as well and has nearly doubled in size since 2012.

ATD is the retail arm of ATV, which also is expanding on the wholesale side, via Wholesale Tire Distributors, which operates WTD warehouses in Cerritos, Fontana and La Mirada, Calif., and Las Vegas, handling a selection of passenger, light truck and truck/bus tires that totals more than 30,000 SKUs.

WTD is a direct importer and exclusive distributor for the Saffiro, Mayrun and Winrun brands.
