Tire Pros reaches 700 stores

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Jan. 14, 2016) — Tire Pros Francorp. has hit a major milestone, converting its 700th Tire Pros franchise store location with the signing of Same Day Tire and Auto Repair, a five-outlet chain operating in the greater Tulsa, Okla., market.

With Same Day Tire and Auto Repair owners Danny and Tina Smith officially joining Tire Pros in late December, the franchiser ended 2015 with a net gain of 65 stores and a final total of 702 locations representing more than 500 individual owners, according to the company.

“We are pleased with last year's store growth and expect similar growth for the foreseeable future as more and more independent dealers recognize the depth of support provided through the Tire Pros franchise,” said Tire Pros President Dan Brown.

“In 2015, 36 percent of our new location growth came from multi-store regional dealers who seek deeper operational and marketing support and broader association with like-minded tire retailers. Our five newest stores are great examples of this.”

The Smiths opened their first location in 1996, focusing on walk-in auto diagnostic and repair services with ultra-fast turn-around times. The concept proved popular and has propelled Same Day Tire's growth to five locations, in Tulsa, Sand Springs and Bixby, Okla.

“We have learned a thing or two over the years about what works in this business, and we've enjoyed a good measure of success, but we're never satisfied with the levels we've attained and are always looking for that next rung on the ladder,” Mr. Smith said. “We believe Tire Pros offers the opportunities and support we need to continue our climb.”

Tire Pros said Same Day Tire's go-to-market positioning fits perfectly with its aim to provide customers a hassle-free, fast and simple experience.

Until just recently, Mr. Smith's business plan had focused primarily on auto repair.

“For 20 years that business plan, with only minor adjustments, had served us well; but we are now finding that tires are a real driving force in obtaining and retaining customers,” he said.

 “We thought long and hard before determining that affiliating with Tire Pros was the right move for us. Change may be difficult, but with open minds come open doors and we're honored that this great milestone for us also sets one for the Tire Pros organization.”   

Same Day Tire previously part of the Tire Factory network, according to information on the firm's Web site and Facebook pages.
