STTC buys N.J. dealer All Time Tire

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Jan. 14, 2016) — Service Tire Truck Centers (STTC) has acquired All Time Tire Service Inc., a single-outlet commercial dealership in South Toms River, N.J., to fill a service void for STTC in central New Jersey.

The acquisition expands STTC's network to 43 outlets in eight states, including six in New Jersey, along with six associate dealers.

STTC also disclosed that All Time Tire Founder and General Manager Tony Maione will become customer relations manager for STTC. Mr. Maione brings 30 years of tire industry experience, 18 of them owning All Time Tire, to his new position.

Toms River is on the Garden Shore Parkway close to the Atlantic coast. STTC's other New Jersey locations are either close to New York or Philadelphia.  

STTC is promoting Josh Weinberg, a branch manager at another location, to operations manager for the Toms River location, where STTC offered all of the employees positions with STTC.  

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Separately, STTC has hired Kris Harmes, formerly with industrial tire and track maker Camso Ltd., to be its vice president of sales, overseeing a team of 70 sales personnel.  

“STTC is very fortunate to have someone with Kris's leadership skills to manage and grow our sales team,” said Walt Dealtrey, COO of Bethlehem-based STTC.

Mr. Harmes has spent the past 11 years with Camso, a long-time supplier of construction tires, rubber tracks and forklift tires to STTC, including being responsible for that company's North American Sales Team for construction products since May 2013.

Mr. Harmes is just the third person to hold the sales VP title in STTC's 60 years in business, Mr. Dealtry said.

“I am very anxious to begin this new chapter in my life with STTC,” Mr. Harmes said. “It is extremely important to me that we continue to carry forward the great traditions of STTC and perhaps along the way we'll build on some new traditions as well.”

STTC is considered the seventh largest commercial tire dealership in the U.S., with estimated sales of more than $225 million and the sixth largest independent truck tire retreader with three Michelin Retread Technology (MRT) plants producing more than 1,000 tires per day.
