“Kiefer Manufacturing was founded by forward-thinking leaders with strong ties to the community. With this sale, the operation will once again return to a local business and be led under the guidance of long-time entrepreneurs David Greene Sr. and David Greene Jr.,” said Dave Zrostlik, Stellar Industries president.
“We are confident the Sneedville facility will be in good hands and look forward to a smooth transition.”
The Sneedville facility has been producing Kiefer-branded trailers for nearly 15 years, and will now also manufacture all of its product categories in the plant, which Stellar said “has become known in the industry for its high quality workmanship.” The company added that the Kiefer team “is excited to build additional models to offer its loyal dealer and customer base throughout North America.”
David Greene Jr. said the new ownership team has “appreciated working with Stellar Industries through the purchasing process.
“We believe the Kiefer line of trailers has a lot of potential. We strive to focus our business on service, integrity and quality. We stand behind our products — and going forward we plan to be as effective as possible, and to provide a high quality product our customers and dealers can count on.”
To execute a seamless transition, Stellar said a majority of employees will be retained by Kiefer.
