“This new facility is an opportunity for us to enhance our ability to service both the domestic and international markets,” said Harry Barkett, president of Amalie Motor Oil.
The property includes a deep-water pier, rail access and close proximity to major federal interstates. The facility also can handle 14 million gallons of tank storage, increasing Amalie's total tank storage to 32 million gallons. Additionally, Amalie now owns more than 650,000 square feet in warehouse and manufacturing space, including its facility in Tampa.
Founded in 1903 in Franklin, Pa., Amalie is a family-owned, independent blender of motor oils and industrial lubricants in North America. Amalie produces engine oils for passenger cars as well as synthetic blends, transmission fluid, airboat oils and hydraulics oils.
