Permatex names associate innovations manager

HARTFORD, Conn. (Dec. 2, 2015) — Permatex, manufacturer, distributor and marketer of premium chemical products for the automotive maintenance and repair markets, has named Curtis Haines its associate innovations manager.

Mr. Haines will work in conjunction with the Permatex product marketing and R&D teams to identify and develop new markets, Permatex said, as well as come up with product ideas for new and existing markets. He will oversee new product development and research analysis, according to the company, and will provide hands-on technical advisement to all marketing, sales, innovation and R&D teams.

Prior to joining Permatex, Mr. Haines spent seven years with AutoZone, where he served as the company's Northeast commercial parts expeditor. He also spent two years at Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack in commercial management.

“Curtis brings us a wealth of experience in the automotive aftermarket,” said Sean Lyon, director of marketing and product management for Permatex. “His overall automotive service knowledge along with his ability to identify new trends and opportunities will be an invaluable asset to the team.”

Hartford-based Permatex, a division of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), also operates a manufacturing, distribution and technical center in Solon, Ohio.
