WASHINGTON (Nov. 11, 2015) — Titan Tire Corp. and the United Steelworkers (USW) union will soon file their second joint petition against off-the-road tire imports with the International Trade Commission, according to Morry Taylor, Titan president and CEO.
Taylor mentioned the pending joint action during a Nov. 6 teleconference, and confirmed it in a Nov. 10 telephone interview. He said he expected the papers to be filed within the next 10 days.
“If you're going to have manufacturing, you have to support it where it's at,” Mr. Taylor said about the pending petition. “I believe in free trade, but when it's a one-way street, it's not right.”
The USW declined comment on Taylor's remarks.
