ETD Discount Tire opens 8th N.J. store

WESTWOOD, N.J. (Nov. 10, 2015) — ETD Discount Tire Centers Inc. has opened a retail store in Westwood, a new construction location that is the dealership's eighth in the Garden State.

The two-story Westwood story has six service bays, a comfortable customer waiting area with high-top tables, WIFI and other amenities, and storage space for 1,500 tires, ETD said.

The dealership is holding a grand opening Nov. 12-14, offering a $5 oil change special as part of the festivities.

The store serves Westwood — a borough of about 11,000 inhabitants northeast of Paramus — and neighboring communities, including Emerson and Oradell.

The shop features state-of-the-art equipment including a Hunter HawkEye Elite Alignment Machine and a Hunter RoadForce Tire Balancer, ETD said.

“We built this store from the ground-up…to provide excellent customer service to local residents,” ETD President John Boyle said. “We have had great customer feedback in our first week of business and hope to become the one-stop automotive center for everyone in the area."

The three managers at the Westwood store are experienced ETD Discount Tire employees who transferred to Westwood from other locations, according to the dealership.

The company did not disclose its investment in the new location.

Family-owned ETD Discount Tire has been in business since 1946. Its other stores are in Butler, Clifton, Denville, Englewood, Hillsdale, Lyndhurst and Wayne, N.J. All are within about 35 miles of each other in eastern New Jersey.

ETD features Bridgestone, Continental, Firestone, General, Goodyear, Hankook and Michelin brand tires and a full selection of automotive services, with ASE-certified mechanics at each location.

Stores are open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
