TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 4, 2015) — McGee Auto Service & Tires has opened its 30th retail store, which features room to service commercial vehicles.

The new outlet for the Tampa-based dealership is in Valrico, Fla., at 2516 E SR 60, in a building formerly occupied by Brandon Tire. It has 10 service bays with an 11th to service commercial trucks and RV'S.

McGee said the building was completely gutted and remodeled and now is stocked with state-of-the-art wheel alignment, tire mounting, brake service and wheel balancing equipment from Hunter Engineering. With a nod to customer amenities, the remodeled site has a new waiting area with a private business center that features WiFi, extra outlets and USB connections. For families with kids in tow, the showroom also features a spacious children's play area, according to the company.

From its beginnings with two stores branded as “O.K. Tire Stores,” McGee Auto Service said it has been serving Florida drivers for more than 42 years. The dealership, which became an authorized Goodyear dealer in 1974, has grown to include stores in Port Richey, Zephyrhills, Tampa, Brandon, Clearwater and Bradenton, Fla. The company — which continues to operate under the management of founder John McGee — said it has concentrated on its “commitment to customer service and excellence in tires and auto repair.”

McGee also announced that it recently redesigned its website “to improve customer experience and usability” while making it easier to navigate.

The new site features easier access to the company's tire catalog, better information on services and clearer, easier-to-find specials and offers.

According to the dealership, McGeeTire.com is powered by Nashville, Tenn.-based TCS Technologies, a Microsoft Corp. certified partner that develops and markets both off-the-shelf and custom tire software solutions, Web applications, ecommerce platforms, ad support and consulting services to tire companies across the U.S. and Canada.
