AKRON (Nov. 3, 2015) — Jack Winterton, vice president, global sales and marketing for Goodyear, will retire from his position at year-end, a Goodyear spokesperson said.
Mr. Winterton, a 42-year Goodyear veteran, has spent his entire automotive industry career with the company. He was promoted to his latest role within the company in 2014.
Prior to that, Mr. Winterton served in a variety of roles with the Akron-based tire maker, including president of its North America Consumer segment and chief customer officer for its North American Tire consumer business. He also spent 30 years working with the Kelly brand.
In an email to Goodyear associates, Steve McClellan, president of Goodyear North America, said Mr. Winterton has had "an impressive career, with almost all of those years helping to shape the strategy and direction of the company's North America business.... Jack has had an incomparable run at Goodyear, and we are very happy that he's looking forward to new adventures with his family."
