GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 16, 2015) — An enhancement to Michelin Americas Truck Tires' (MATT) truck dealer and service locator is making it easier for fleets to find Michelin truck products and services along their routes nationwide.
MATT, a division of Greenville-based Michelin North America Inc., has added a “Track My Route” feature that allows fleets and owner-operators to more easily locate Michelin commercial truck tire dealers.
“No matter where a truck is originating its journey, or where the final destination may be, today's fleets demand real-time access to information to maximize their efficiency and uptime,” said Bianca Hogan, U.S. country marketing manager for MATT. “The new Track My Route feature allows fleets to keep moving.”
With the new feature, drivers of commercial vehicles will be able to enter their origins and destinations and view authorized service providers along their routes, according to MATT. Fleets can then download the results — which include dealers' contact information and services/products offered, including emergency road service, scheduled fleet tire maintenance, new tires, retreads as well as Michelin X One “super single” tires.
Information can be filtered according to the specific services or products needed, MATT added.
The new feature is available on Michelin's trucking website and within the Michelin Truck Dealer Locator app, which is powered by Google Maps. It can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store for iOS or through the Google Play Store for Android devices by searching “Michelin truck” or “Michelin dealer locator.”
