MOOSIC, Pa. (Oct. 16, 2015) — For the fifth year running, Jack Williams Tire Co. Inc. is sponsoring Ryan's Run, a campaign to raise funds and awareness for individuals with disabilities and life-changing injuries organized by Allied Services Integrated Health System.
Ryan's Run — led by and named for Ryan Leckey, a reporter and on-air personality at WNEP-TV in Moosic — involves area runners competing in the annual New York City Marathon to raise funds for Allied Services, a non-profit health and human services organization. Since Jack Williams joined the campaign in 2011, the family-owned and -operated business has donated more than $75,000 to the group.
This year, Stephanie Jones, store manager at Jack Williams' Moosic location, will run the New York City Marathon on Nov. 1 as part of the Ryan's Run team. This will be the first marathon for Ms. Jones, whose mother went through physical therapy and rehabilitation following a serious car accident.
Colleagues and customers at Jack Williams' 35 locations in northeastern and central Pennsylvania have been showing their support for Ms. Jones and the Ryan's Run campaign by purchasing Ryan's Run “footprints” for $1 each.
“We're grateful for the continued support that Jack Williams Tire provides for this campaign and for the individuals we serve,” said Bill Conaboy, president and CEO of Allied Services.
“Thanks to the tremendous support we receive for Ryan's Run, year after year, we have been able to bring the best in rehabilitation technology to Allied Services, significantly improving recovery time for individuals with life-changing injuries and enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.”
