WASHINGTON (Oct. 14, 2015) — The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has released its annual Membership Directory and Industry Guide.
The publication — a key benefit of ISRI membership — includes comprehensive information on ISRI member companies, including their key personnel, business type, equipment used, commodities handled and contact information, according to the institute.
“A primary goal of ISRI is to connect recyclers with other buyers and sellers of scrap from around the world,” said Robin Wiener, ISRI president. “That is why each year, ISRI members look forward to the publication of the Membership Directory and Industry Guide, as it serves as a who's who in the industry.
“Now through our online and mobile app versions, we have made it faster and easier for others to connect and conduct business. In the coming year, we will continue to look for new ways for our membership to expand their reach and find new markets.”
This year's 340-page directory contains completely updated information on all ISRI member companies and branch locations, presenting the data in what ISRI said are three easy-to-use sections: locations, companies and individuals. In addition, the directory also includes increased information in the locations section that identifies companies that are members of the Circle of Safety Excellence and those that are certified to the RIOS standard. Also, the content in the front section on ISRI's member programs and services has been revised and updated, ISRI said.
The directory's print version offers information on ISRI's board of directors and committees, councils and related organizations, a listing of ISRI staff, details on ISRI's arbitration program, ISRI chapter boundaries and member companies in the association's two national chapters — the Paper Stock Industries Chapter and Scrap Tire Processors Chapter. The directory ends with the Buyer's Guide that lists ISRI associate members that provide equipment, technology, products and services to the recycling industry in more than 110 categories.
ISRI members in good standing will receive their directories in the coming weeks, the institute said, while copies are available to non-ISRI members for $950. The number of copies each member receives is based on their ISRI dues levels.
A digital version of the new directory also is available on the members-only side of the ISRI website. ISRI members also can access the directory in the Members Only section of ISRI Mobile, the association's mobile app for iOS and Android users.
Washington-based ISRI, which calls itself the “Voice of the Recycling Industry,” represents more than 1,600 companies in 21 chapters nationwide that process, broker and industrially consume scrap commodities, including metals, paper, plastics, glass, rubber, electronics and textiles.
