LEESBURG, Va. (Oct. 8, 2015) — The Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC) has named Genuine Parts Co./NAPA Auto Parts the grand winner of the ATMC National Excellence in Training Award for 2015.
NAPA won for its program, “Store Operations Training,” ATMC said. Also receiving National Excellence in Training Awards were WheelTime Network L.L.C. for the “WheelTime University” program and KPA L.L.C. for its “Conducting Effective Interviews” program.
ATMC annually names three industry firms winners based upon their submissions to the council for peer review. The awards are designed to highlight the availability of effective/innovative training and its importance to the success of the transportation industry.
“The judging was extremely close, with all entries separated by no more than sixteen points in the judges' mean averages,” said Dave Milne, ATMC president. “Each of the submissions was remarkable in some way.”
The 2015 award recipients will be honored at the ATMC reception held during the AAPEX and Specialty Equipment Market Association shows in Las Vegas. The reception will take place at the Venetian Hotel/Sands Expo Center from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 in Casanova Rooms 604-605 (ground floor).
Industry sponsors for the event include Gates Corp., ASE and the Auto Care Association. All with an interest in training are welcome to attend.
