AKRON (Oct. 1, 2015) — BKT USA Inc., the North American subsidiary of Mumbai, India's Balkrishna Industries Ltd., has named Mike Connor head of OE sales.
Mr. Connor will work out of the Akron-area office in Fairlawn of BKT, which handles agricultural and ATV off-highway tires. He brings to the company more than 25 years of management experience in the off-highway tire and wheel industry, having held positions as general manager of Mefro Wheels USA and president
and chief operating officer of Redco Corp. in Red Lion, Pa. BKT said that as an original equipment sales manager, Mr. Connor also has introduced and sold tires to tier one equipment manufacturers including CNH Global N.V., Kubota Tractor Corp., Volvo Group and Deere & Co.
“Mike brings extensive expertise and vision, which will aid in creating additional sales and developing our OE partnerships,” said Rajiv Poddar, joint managing director of Balkrishna Industries. “We strongly feel he is an important asset to our company.”
A resident of York, Pa., Mr. Connor holds a bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers University.
