HUDSON, Ohio (Sept. 29, 2015) — Hedges & Co., an automotive market research firm, has published a series of vehicle parts replacement reports for 2016, covering 27 different product categories and nearly 100 parts and services car and light truck owners will buy in the next year.

Hedges & Co. said its reports provide detailed information on the number of vehicles getting specified parts or services. The reports present data by total vehicles on the road and are segmented by age of vehicle, geographic region and vehicle make.

Data also are provided for popular vehicle types, such as light trucks and SUVs, Jeep and American and European performance models, the company said.

“These reports offer valuable market insight companies can use to determine sales potential and identify new markets for growth,” said Julie Hedges, principal at Hedges & Co. “There is a lack of quantifiable data available that allows aftermarket businesses and those selling in the aftermarket to measure the size or potential of a specific market. The vehicle replacement rate reports provide real numbers for them to work with.”

The reports benefit manufacturers, business owners and product and brand managers and provide benchmarks businesses can use to measure against and set goals with, the company said.

Reports are available for the following automotive product categories: air conditioning, batteries and alternators, brakes, chassis parts, engine, gaskets and belts, exhaust and emissions, fuel system parts, heating and radiator, ignition and electrical, oil and filters, shocks and suspension, spark plugs and timing, steering parts, transmission, wheels and tires and windshield.

The reports are available by product category or by individual part or service. They can be purchased online at the firm's website.

Prices per section vary from $1,495 to $3,595.
